Shamsul Muktadir brings over decades of experience in various leadership roles, including journalism, diplomacy, education, business development, and global citizenship education. His rich background across sectors and continents shapes the editorial direction of South Asian Monitor.

  • National GCED Trainer & Advisor at the National Association of UNESCO Clubs in Bangladesh (NAUCB), under UNESCO and the Government of Bangladesh (2019–present)
  • Former Economic and Political Advisor, High Commission of Canada in Dhaka
  • CEO, Suncore Tea Estate & Trading, Panchagarh
  • Director, Humber Student Federation, Toronto, Canada
  • Former CEO, Chattogram Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CMCCI)
  • UNESCO/Keizo Obuchi Research Fellow with a focus on Bangladesh-Pakistan relations
  • Visiting Scholar, University of Venice, Italy – project on cultural tourism in Bangladesh
